Thomas Jones

Thomas ap R. Jones was born and raised in Selma, Alabama. After graduating from Selma High School in 1976, he obtained his B.A. degree from the University of Alabama and received his J.D. degree from The Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. He was licensed to practice law in 1984.

He was associated with Pitts, Pitts and Thompson, now Pitts, Williams and Jones, for a number of years and later practiced as a sole practitioner until being elected Circuit Court Judge in 1994. He served the Fourth Judicial Circuit, including Bibb, Dallas, Hale, Perry and Wilcox counties, for eighteen years and became affiliated with Pitts, Pitts and Williams upon leaving the bench in 2013.

Judge Jones’ trial experience as Circuit Court Judge affords him extraordinary opportunities that serve him well in his areas of practice that include general civil litigation, personal injury, insurance defense, work-place accidents, product liability and real estate law. In addition, since leaving the bench, Judge Jones’ services as a mediator, have been in demand throughout Central and South Alabama.

Henry Pitts

Henry Pitts was born and raised in Selma, AL, attended the University of Alabama Law School, and was admitted to the Alabama Bar in 1963.  Henry has seen it all as an attorney and truly has a passion for his profession and for the clients he serves. Since 1963 Henry has represented Plaintiffs and Defendants in Civil Litigation, Corporate Litigation, Criminal Defense, and Domestic Relations.

Rick Williams

Rick Williams was born and raised in Selma, Alabama, attended Auburn University and The University of Alabama Law School. He was admitted to practice law in 1996 and joined the firm at that time. He has been awarded Best Lawyer in Selma in 2005, 2010, 2011, 2011 and 2012. Rick has represented Plaintiffs and Defendants in the areas of personal injury, civil defense, workplace accidents, product liability, construction litigation and general civil and complex litigation.
